Giddy-Up!

Chloe Jane rides the horse!

I love how our kids give our grandkids enrichment opportunities all the time. Recently Lowell's sister and her family moved to Utah not far from where our kids live. On Labor Day they went out to visit and have a barbeque. The girls' Uncle Gordon gave them each an opportunity to ride their horse. I thought these photos were just so colorful and fun.

Miss Julia gets a turn!

Hazie rides the horsey!
She looks rather excited about this, don't you think?
She looks so tiny up there!
Hang on to her, Daddy!

Miss Piper gives it a try!
She looks so grown up on the horse
when you see where her feet are!

Hazel fell in love with their beautiful dog.
Jen said she spent about three hours doing this!

What a great and fun family day. The girls will never forget the wonderful things their parents expose them to when they are young. Isn't it fantastic that activities don't have to be expensive or elaborate to be meaningful in our lives? The wholesome times we spend together with our families are what make up the beautiful moments of life.

It is in times just like these that passions are born, talents and interests are developed, and family bonds are deepened. We have heard that families that pray together stay together. I think it can also be said that families that play together stay together too. Each little moment like this add to the glue that creates a heart print that endures.

Twice as Nice!

Today is Chloe's Birthday. When she has her Birthday I am reminded that this day is twice as nice because Chloe is the most special gift to our family. You can read her story here. ( If you click over to the link, you can come right back here afterwards by double clicking on the picture of our street on the header of the blog...just like magic you'll be back.)

Six years ago today one of the most wonderful things happened and we were given the gift of this precious little girl, to have and to hold from that day forward and forever.

Chlo-Jo have a wonderful day, Honey! Here are some of the cutest pictures of Chloe. She rarely takes a bad photo. She is just so full of life and love and she has so many sides, like a beautiful faceted diamond! We love this spicy little girl!

Some people have said she looks like her Gramma,
what do you think?

This little face reminds me of an
Our Gang or The Little Rascals photo!
She just looks mischievous and gleeful.
She's a hat girl, isn't she?
They should have invited her
to the Royal Wedding!

Who gets a beauty mark just in the
right place?
I love this little face!

Dressing Up with her cousin and our grandson,
Zach,
for their "wedding."
Who cannot love this photo?

We have it framed in our bedroom.

Her serious, pensive side.

Her adventurous, fearless side!

Her goofy side!

Her sweet, lovable side!
I think she has the most beautiful blue eyes!

Her precious side!

Her spooky side!

She's Six and look!
Her toothless side!

Her Happy Side~
Her Happy Birthday last year!

Happy Birthday, "JoJo"
We love you with all of our hearts!

And we miss you and love
that we will be seeing you soon!

No More Three Front Teeth!

Look at you, Miss Chloe! I knew you were going to lose that other front tooth while you were on vacation. You almost made it home with it but not quite! I hope the tooth fairy treated you well! Can you whistle now?

Love,

Gramma (and Grampa too!)

All About You!

Rossie cramming himself into the
grocery store car one last time!
Not really made for big kid 7-year-olds!

There are always just some fun random photos of the kids and their busyness playing and having fun. These are a bunch of photos posted by Laura daily on her My Life in Pictures blog and some that the other kids have sent electronically.

This is one of the most wonderful ways they can make Gramma and Grampa feel a part of the kids' lives. I am so thankful for digital cameras, scanners, and computers. They literally shrink the world to a manageable size. Oh and not to forget the telephones...They have saved us from dying of loneliness for these little people and their precious parents that we love more than life itself.
Spencer and Rossie~Italian Coolness

These grandkids are on the go. Spencer and Ross will be coming back to America to live on July 15th. Piper and Julia are going to Scotland on Tuesday. Connor, Anyslee, Zach and Owen are all in Oklahoma right now. The only two staying put are Chloe and Hazie! It sure is a different world they are growing up in compared to when we were kids. There is so much mobility and so many opportunities to be had. We love their parents for giving these little ones so many memories.
